I have been itching to share these photos for about a month now! Early September I had the pleasure to photograph Lindsay and Chris's wedding out in Gull Lake, Alberta. Honestly, I had no idea it was going to be so breath taking! My second-shooter, Danielle Bourque, and I headed to the ceremony location on the water before meeting with the bride and her bridesmaids to photograph them getting ready. The water was so calm, fog hung closely to the surface, the air had a slight chill but the sun started to peak through the clouds igniting the trees around us in an autumn blaze. It was perfection.
When Lindsay started walking down the aisle to "a thousand years" by Christina Perri, I instantly teared up, fogging up my view finder. You could sense her anticipation, she couldn't wait to see Chris, she couldn't wait to be his wife. Chris was so over-whelmed with the beauty of his bride, the love of his life, walking down the aisle towards him that he started to tear up. *Note: Women love this. A grown man shedding a few tears at his wedding? The whole crowd will crumble under the rawness, the beauty of that kind of vulnerability that comes with true love.
Alongside their children Kylie and Braxton, flower girl and ring bearer, and the rest of their close friends and family, they said their "I do's!" It was such an incredible day, all around. Here are some of my favorite shots. It was hard to narrow them down!
