It honestly only feels like weeks ago I was meeting with Jordan and Stephanie in a near-by Calgary pub. Stephanie was celebrating with her co-workers from The Calgary Zoo and so I swung by for a glass of wine and to chat about how they met and who they were as a couple.
One of the things I've noticed instantly was how they always looked to each other. They would break their gaze with me when talking and look lovingly in to each others eyes and smile. Always looking to each other, reading each others minds and finishing each others sentences.
Jordan is incredibly goofy, at first he seems like he may be quiet but he's definitely not! He is kind, funny, chivalrous, and thoughtful. Stephanie is a light beam and has a natural warmth all around her. I believe she could have a conversation with anyone and make them feel like her best friend. She is detailed, sweet, and generous. They love each other so much and have been together for 8 years! They have been through the up's and down's, new jobs, graduations, losing family, gaining new family (parker, their puppy), and continually to be each others greatest source of joy and unyielding love.
A year later, the day of their wedding emphasized all of those beautiful characteristics of who they are separately but also of who they are together. There were no shortage of tears, laughs, being iced, and dancing. Stephanie was beaming, Jordan would steal away moments to kiss her hand or to look at her when she wasn't watching. It was truly the most magical day and I hope that magic follows them for the rest of their lives together.
Congratulations again Jordan & Stephanie! To a lifetime of love, adventure, and finishing each others sentences.

"Love is friendship caught fire; it is quiet, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not brood over the past. It is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough." - - Laure Hendricks
